Evaluation of the Pulp Chamber Temperature during Tooth Veneer Preparation Using Burs with Different Degrees of Wear—A Preliminary In Vitro Study

The heat produced during tooth preparation could be a source of damage for dental pulp, and many variables are involved in this process. aim vitro study was to evaluate whether the different degrees wear diamond burs significantly influenced temperature changes pulp chamber tangential veneer preparation. sample comprised 30 intact permanent monoradicular teeth, randomly assigned three groups 10 teeth each, which 5 had tissue preserved thermoconductive paste chamber. For prosthetic preparation, we used new first group, at their fifth use second eighth third group. evaluated start, after one minute, minutes using k-type thermocouple. results three-way ANOVA Tukey post hoc comparisons showed highly significant effect time measurement, while condition degree no effect. In conclusion, conventional do not produce statistically temperature.
